Many walks and trails, on foot or by bike, will allow you to discover the Sélune and the Bois d’Ardennes.

Hiking

Start of walks from the Ducey bridge over the river Sélune, a beautiful course of 21 km awaits you through the woods, rivers and waterfalls to the entrance of the Bois d’Ardennes.

Montgommery Castle

Built in the early seventeenth century, the Montgommery castle is located on the banks of the Sélune, in a park, at the entrance of the town of Ducey-Les Chéris. It houses a monumental staircase that has just been remarkably restored as well as beautiful painted ceilings and imposing fireplaces.

Gastronomy

Several restaurants are located 2 minutes’ walk from the house, which will satisfy the tastes of everyone: a gourmet restaurant, pizzeria, grill-creperie or pub-lounge!

Others are also open within a few minutes’ drive from Ducey. We can with pleasure, tell you of them during your stay but, we can also reserve them for you, do not hesitate to ask us!

Horse riding

A horseback ride, in the countryside or on the beach? Normandy, famous for its stud farm and horse breeding, will welcome you for beautiful walks in idyllic settings.

Canoe and kayaking on the Sélune

A few kilometers from Ducey, in Avranches, the Canoe Club offers guided rides or independent rides, down the river Sélune or at sea in the Bay of Sée.

Beaches

Follow the “Route de la Baie” between Avranches and Granville, and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Jullouville, Kairon, Carolles, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer or Saint-Jean-le-Thomas.
